AP shocks and springs, Any good?

Featured Replies

Just sorting this myself, anyone know part numbers for the top mounts and bump stops??

Also, what is a sensible price for getting these fitted by a garage? Been quoted £200?

Ben

Paid £110 to have my coilovers fitted and tracking done. I was quoted £200+ from a couple places though, so just phone around.

  • 4 up and 75 KG of coal in the boot. No bother, and myself and and SWMBO arn't 10 stone skinnies!

  • Good quality kit for the money and made by KW in Germany so a well known leader in suspension. Damian @ DPM Performance

i take it by lowering the vrs 25mm (15mm lower than a standard one)that's a 40mm drop overall, so a 40mm FK kit for ALL fabias will drop the same as it'll be made mainly for the base models

i hope that made sense  :giggle:

Technically yes, just dont expect a 40mm drop on a vrs :)

So, shopping list should be;

shocks and springs

front top mounts

rear top mounts

bumpstops

drop links

That looks like a nice drop. Im running Jom coilovers at the minute only got them to get rid of that 4x4 look but i cant bare them nomore there so uncomfy really is a bone shaker. Been looking at the AP spring and shock combo but wasnt sure if the drop would still look good. Has anyone got any more pics of fabias on this kit.

Thanks guys

AP have just raised prices slightly so the kit is now no longer £233.00 but we do still offer our price beat promise if you do find the kit cheaper anywhere else.

I got them cheaper through a friend in the trade but DPM were the cheapest I could find! :)

So how much is the kit Damien to save having to shop around first.

How does this kit compare to Eibach Pro Kit inc dampers, is there much difference.

Not a vRS so still a little higher than what a vRS would be.

Forgot to mention, totally standard apart from the AP kit. No RARB, No front or rear Strut brace.

Mine are on now, handles less like a boat and looks a bit better too. As for comfort they ain't far off oe

Had my alignment done last night for the 1st time since I fitted them...

...last May.

Much improved handling! And two banjaxxed tyres too!

Had mine fitted a few weeks now and have done 2000 miles since then.  No noticeable difference in comfort however cornering and appearance are much improved.

Love the ride on these. Front looks great, but for me the rear just isnt low enough!
