Goodbye Fabia VRS

Featured Replies

There are several Briskoda members on their second one after the first was trouble free and with  highish mileages,

and others with new ones on order. 5 Year Warranty and you are sorted,

& they are doing better at Trade in with Skoda then many of the other models.

Thats even with having got the first ones so cheap in the first place.

It is hard luck on those buying the bad ones, lots of used out there that are a Lottery as to if they are Oil Burners or not..

It really is bizarre that they are failing now as the twincharger has been in production since 2006. They should have ironed out the bugs by now. As I have said it is such a shame as it is a great little mill when it works.

The BASE Engine is the same,  as used with the Turbo 1.4 TSI with less power.

but the Manual Box Euro 5 engine cars and Even with DSG they were 160 or 170 PS.

The real Problem show with some engines when they released the Cupra with the CAVE & 178 BHP/180 PS Minimum.

The A1 185 ps, got different Plugs & Ignition Coils and Map, but its still the same Base Engine, as the Turbo only, CAVE or CTHE

** VAG still have the Service Schedule at 40,000 miles for Spark Plug replacement and some do not even survive to 20,000 miles.

A better Spark plug as OEM would be a start, and review their Service Advice.**
