Foils fitted to Facelift

Featured Replies

Can anyone with a F/L tell me if foils are being fitted please

Good question. Wakev where are you?

Can't really tell from this HUGE photo.  Click on it.

They are press images....retouched too

Need to see the real thing

Actually no...  the first huge images clearly shows the foil there...  Look closely.  The line you see there is not the line of the door.  The door forms part of the fender.  So that line just in front of it IS the foil.

Johann I think we are agreed....the foils are there

The bit in the red is the foil:

I checked for them on a facelift model when I ordered mine, they are fitted.

Is it on both the city and offroad version?

If by foils you mean the clear stick on bits that sometime look like a scratch on the doors, I can confirm my FL model does have them.

Hope that helps

:hi:  Been at work cutting up fallen trees  :whew:,  mine has the foils looked when I collected it,  all I'm missing is the rear mud flaps.  Hope they appear on the parts system soon.

Thanks all just getting my checklist sorted as been told my car is built and sat waiting at Emden docks

Now this is something that they should be embarrassed about not sorting out on the Facelift.

Looking at Johann's picture they're bigger than ever on the City model.  I really dislike this bodge and hope that the design guy responsible got his P45.  I'd just make sure that any overzealous vehicle 'preppers' don't take them off new FLs at PDI, because I reckon they'll be a bother to fit later on, judging by the fun I had with this on my Yeti.

Something they'll hopefully sort for Yeti Mk2.

Hi Kev.

It wasn't you clearing up fallen neglected conifers in Small Dole was it? :wonder: Just round the corner from me.

Were you told that the rear mudflaps weren't available or are you just relying on the Brochure?

Fred

Not me Fred, clearing up on a 30 acer estate in peaslake surrey that I look after, 2 fallen Beach, trunk 3'6'' across and 2 large Oak.

The rear mud flaps can be factory fitted as a £20 option, but they are not on the parts list yet, and the dealers did not know that the old type would not fit, think they have a pile of rear mud flaps to find a home for now :giggle:,  It maybe the reason they offered the rear flaps as a option and not the fronts as the old ones fit on the front still.
