Is there an easy way to find out who remapped my octy mk1?

Featured Replies

Just wondering if it's possible to I.D a remap fitted to my mk1 octy Vrs.

Bought the car already remapped and I have a huge file full of reciepts but alas nothing detailing the remap.

All I know is my car peaks boost around 22/23 psi and then drops to a steady 17/18psi ish according to my boost gauge that I have fitted.

Car runs fine with no real issues however the spike is a little concerning on WOT so i've always made sure its on highest octane fuel for those spirited drives but not sure if this is a little too high for standard internals and standard gearbox/clutch although box and clutch are recent im just wondering if I could find out who mapped it and if possible get them to reduce the spike to a more constant lower boost setting for longevity of the drivetrain.

Would a scanner give me any mappers details from the ecu or version, firmware etc?

Thanks

Nick

You can make a Dyno test and with the power and torque, search at all the tuners to find. The scanner doesn't gave you mappers details. At me, 1.9TDI with powerbox i have 25psi overboost and 22psi steady, wich is huge for stock turbo.

I don't think it's possible to trace this back to a specific garage.
