Good Day All

Can anyone recommend and detachable tow bars that fit the Roomster that still looks good when the tow bar not fitted!! I have heard that some need a big hole cut in the bumper, and need a cover plate to be ordered from Skoda. Any recommendations will be greatfuly received.

I'm also in the process of getting a tow bar fitted. Possibly by the main dealer, as I don't want a bodge job on the wiring.

 

I've bought the blanking plate for about £12

 

Main dealer can fit a non standard detachable for around £450 or standard for a couple of hundred more.

 

Has anyone had a dealer non standard detachable tow bar fitted, and if so what make was it?

I have detachable tow bar, ordered it with car order from factory. My Roomster is Scout version so the tow bar may be different than with standard bumpers.

It looks like this:

Tow bar removed and cover on

Tow bar installed and waiting for action

Tow bar in use

We have a detachable skoda towbar and there is a cutout section on the bumper a bit unsightly but only if you look hard

Is it with standard (non Scout) bumpers? Do you have any pictures about it? I'd like to see how that looks like.

As far as I researched the Scout's bumpers, there's cutout for towbar in every bumper. So you can't really tell is the car with towbar or not

Hi Manni its with non scout bumpers. I will take a picture for you in daylight tomorrow. It is a hole cut in the plastic
