Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Ed. LTE

I've come to pick your brains.

I'm after a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition with LTE, preferably with at least 32Gb of memory, however I'm struggling to find any UK supplier.

I have found 1 which is an online company MobiCity. Has anyone had any dealings with this company and were they any good?

Or better still does anyone know of a UK retailer that sells this tablet?

Before you ask why I'm not after an Ipad, the answer is because I don't like Apples restrictive practices and the lack of ability to be able to swap files using Bluetooth, without being jailbroken.

There ain't many places if any in the UK that sell the LTE version Samsung seem to Limit certain markets with certain products. The good thing about the Samsung is it has the micro SD card slot. I have the non LTE version which has the different processor and I really can't fault it. It does everything I need .

The reason I want an LTE version is so that I don't use my Galaxy S4's data package, I find tethering a really pain in the backside and it will mean having to keep the S4 either on mains or on an external battery pack.

The reason it may not be available is compatibility, we in the UK have adopted a non standard 4G implementation so not all LTE/4G devices support our networks. Even if you got a LTE one their is no guarantee its going to work with 4G here. Take the first iPad to support 4G for example, you got 4G in every country except the UK, where the same iPad was marketed as 3G because it did not support the UK system. Only later iPads fully supported the UK 4G system.

Can that 4G incompatibility be altered by a firmware update do you know?

Unlikely..

The baseband chips will only be certified for use on certain frequencies.. and i dont think we are at the stage yet where on chip supports *all* frequencies.

On the Samsung UK site it only lists the Wifi only model. It looks like they won't release it in the UK

Yet if you look on the web & Ebay you'll find SM-P605 which is for the UK, on sale in the USA & HK.
