People with heated seats- talk to me.

Featured Replies

Seen as though I can't label the four wires that go into the back of the fabia heated seat switches, nor can I find any wiring diagrams etc. I'm hoping someone with them already fitted can answer this simple one-

do the switches light up when the side/headlights are on, or not?

Thanks

No they don't in mine, I have an elegance which they are standard in.

Hope this helps.

Thats driver side for 2004 vrs (non leather).. theres pass side + with leather options so if you need a different CF diagram let me know it just takes me 10 mins or so to copy from my laptop to my phone to upload lol (laptops not on web at wrk)

Ok mate thanks for that. I'm going to try and hook up heated golf seats with the fabia switches. Just wanted to know what the wires were at the back of the switch as there's two less than the golf ones. Cheers for that though, should help.

Ermmm. Mine light up. Will post pics in a bit.

Nice one. Thanks for all your replies

I'm going to check mine tomorrow, I'm sure mine haven't lit up! Any ideas why this might be the case? All standard too! :/

Was looking for a wiring diagram as ive just bought a kit but its only got the wires choped off at switch end and where it meets under seat so need to make myself a new loom!

Thanks everyone!!

And I can tell you why that is, it's a pain in the fookin arse to try remove the whole loom lol. I tried on Sunday but I didn't fancy spending hours trying to undo all the main loom it goes in to so just cut it.

You hooking up golfs to your fab too?

Im not sure what kit ive got its genuine VAG though!

They only light up when the rest of your interior illuminates from turning on your dipped headlights

This is my kit

If you NEED the control module to make them work, and the oem fabia ones are under the seats and the golf ones are supposedly built into the switches. How would these work using the fabia switches?

Was it a specific fabia kit? Or generic vag one with fabia switches?

Well seller said it was a fabia kit and he had other fabia parts from breaking a car so i presume its a fabia kit. My modules appear to be under the seat so that suggests fabia?

Checked mine this morning and yes I can confirm mine has lights! Amazing I'd never noticed it before!

Another question...

Is there just one control module per set of heated fabia seats? Or one under each??

One under each
