hiya guys hoping someone can help am having some serious issues with the electric windows going up and down on there own the central locking has gone up and down on its own while i am driving the car the central locking only works on the 3 doors but the drivers side doesnt work only of the key the lights are dimming on there own and coming back to normal again on a regular basis does anyone have any ideas what is going on or had similar problems like this the car is a mk 1 octy vrs any help would be much appreciated as this is driving me nuts and now have the brake lights staying on all the time aghhhhhh

Water ingress into the convenience ECU or wiring connectors to the door, seems to be quiet a common issue on the MK1 Octavia. The door controller electronics are situated within the drivers door.

thanks guys had 3 pins damaged in the control module so ran some cables and drilled holes so they fitted so almost everything working now just have the light in bottom of drivers door not working and on the dash when my door is open it doesnt show

That is probably the dreaded door lock microswitch - there is a sticky about this at top of octy 1 page.
