induction kit or dump valve for vrs ?

Featured Replies

i used to have a mk1 vrs and had a Pipercross VIS induction kit which made the dump valve sound louder and could hear turbo spool etc, then i fitted a Forge re-circulating dump valve and the car sounded awesome. I have just bought a mk2 vrs and want to do the same thing but money is a bit tight at the moment so was wondering what is best for a nice sound, nothing cheesy or fake sounding. I have seen Cold air induction kits for £214, and various DV's at different prices. Anyone give me some advice ?

Just fitted an autotech intake & evoms heatshield to mine.

Not evoms but the same

Then fit the revision G diverter valve and you'll have what you desire ;)

Cheers

Neither save your cash IMO, unless your running big power then a CAI but even then i have my judgments on them.

Made a noticeable difference to my standard vrs. Picks up a lot quicker and is more responsive.

And mine too although there is an argument that says the stock airbox flows enough air. The biggest problem for them is heat.

If I was to get one it would be a proper Cold air system to prevent heat soak. Am not interested in more power if I wanted power I would just map it as I already have the bluefin for it . I just want it to sound better. My old vrs sounded awesome and I previously had a focus ST-3 and he 5 pot sound was amazing .
