Skoda Felicia  pick-up 1998

When I forget to turn my lights off, the alarm on the passenger side does not work.  The switch is not stuck, I can push it in easily.  Is there a way to fix it?  thanks. 

 

Also the courtesy light on the passenger side does not work.  I'm not really bothered about this, just wondered if the two problems are connected.

yes, there is.

change the door switch.

its contacts are stuck open.

I'm pretty certain the door switches are wired in parallel, so it must mean that the switch is either not connected up or it's not working on the passenger side.

Sorry to confuse the issue - I meant the driver's side does not work.

 

The contact switch on the passenger door works fine. 

 

The driver's side used to work.  I guess it has more wear and tear on the driver's side.

golf ones are the same, like I said before, you not the system works, the switches are wired in parallel so either door can activate it, it will be the door switch that has broken.

Quick fix: swap the switch over from the passenger side to the driver's side

Sorry break. ... phones try what tom says and they do run on a parallel I fitted two to the rear off my hatch... theres one for ya tom and you can fit a interior light delay too..

Yeah I've got one of those delay relays sat in the top of my tool box waiting to go in a, I bought it ages ago off Phil-E on here. I think they were originally fitted to an L & K model.

I have a spare and sold a few there fitted to glxi and slxi... have you got a rear intermittent wiper relay

Yes mine is a glxi, and it also had remote central locking too, but it has a mind of it's own sometimes.
