The original lock barrel is smooth as porcelain so rebuilding it after the paddle flew off will be a waste of time. Can you get just the barrel or do I need to buy a lock then strip it to put my tumblers in it?

You can order a repair kit from a dealer - under £3 - 1U0 898 001. Includes the 'paddle', spring and insert.

AFAIK, there is no way of repairing the boot lock and a new replacement is £100 :(

Well that sucks.

The £3 kit does not help if the barrel is smooth. I need something for the tumblers to engage with I think. I gues my only option is to buy a complete lock and retumble it.
