This maybe a stupid question

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have an Octavia VRS 2002 with Dunlop/Pirelli 205/50/r17 tyres.

Could someone tell me if the correct pressure is 2.2bar?

Cheers

Should it not be in the manual or on a sticker in the door frame or filler cap?

Naaa nothing on my one.. :(

Go for 32psi front (2.3 bar), and 30psi rear (2.1 bar), and you won't go far wrong. It's roughly the same for most modern cars, and should apply whatever tyres you have whether they're the factory-fit ones or not. If you're that worried, do them to 32/30 and take a trip to the stealership..

205/50 zr17 89w. 2.1 bar at the front, 2.2 bar at the rear.

Inside my petrol flap said 2.1 bar front, 2.2 bar rear, up to medium loads. This was a 2003 vRS hatch, can't remember what make tyres, but it shouldn't matter if size is correct.
