Ordered today

Featured Replies

Just ordered a 2.0 110 Diesel Yeti Outdoor SE in Black as a replacement for my Peugeot 207 on Motability. Delivery will be May 16th if it's on time (my changeover date, so I can't have it earlier even if it's ready). I can't wait.

Let me be the first to congratulate you, what colour and any add ons

Sorry I have now seen the colour, anything else added as extras ?

No extras as all the bits I wanted were in the SE. I was tempted by the lumbar suport, but having tried it today I decided it wasn't that great.

Agree SE is a good spec, but have you considered a spare wheel and false floor might be worth thinking about while you still have time to amend your order.

Either way enjoy your new motor.

Hi fatgit, welcome to the forum, and welcome to the GREAT world of Yeti ownership.

You'll be VERY happy with it.

Good news Fatgit, you really should buy a spare wheel though mate.

Hi Fatgit, welcome to the Yeti forum. Nice choice there. My first Yeti was a black one , 1.2 SE. I only changed it last year because I wanted an automatic. Getting it From Simpson's Colne? good folk to deal with. Let's have more Yeti's in Lancashire.

Welcome to the forum fatgit and on your anticipated new Yeti. :)

I'd echo the comments above and seriously consider adding the temporary space-saver spare wheel with car jack and false boot floor - £150 extra.

£150 more than well spent - I can't imagine the problems that not having a spare would cause on a time-critical journey (airport, port etc).

.... a time-critical journey ....

Ditto location-critical (e.g. out in the wilds) :S

If I was getting a new car on the Motability scheme, I'd be happier letting the breakdown services deal with any tyre/wheel issues. It's part of what you're paying for with a new car.

Time critical trips are only going to apply in very rare cases for the majority of people, so I really don't think that the extra weight, loss of space and cost is justifiable over the tyre repair kit.

Agree but it would be easier for the breakdown services to change the wheel if you had one present rather than tow you home.

Having had 3 punctures over the last couple of years and 2 of them were side wall tears where the gunk was not a option I would not be without a spare.

.sorry double post ,bl**dy mobile

All I have to do is call Kwik Fit and they *should* sort it at the roadside (not sure if they can actually repair them roadside? ) or have me towed to the nearest tyre place. I agree that having the spare would make life a little easier and reduce "downtime", and I may get one at a later date, but at the moment I'm saving for the towbar :)

My days of changing tyres are over. It's a choice of changing the tyre or being able to drive/move for the next 5 days to 3 months O_o
