XL1 - It's got a PID

Featured Replies

We know our little cars have some quality kit if £100k cars are coming with them :-D

Love the MPG, but don't like the look of it..   I'll have to watch it again, but I don't think there is anything on that car I like.

Even the software interface looked crap, and it's not like they would add anything to the MPG by having a bit of flair and design in the interface.

You'd look like something out of Tron driving down the road in that... love it!

Very impressive technology.

400 + mpg is fantastic. I quite like the front and interior. However the back end is ???????? Its a little strange that they spend 13 years on development and don't get the PID to work above 200 mpg?

I think the back end is so ugly that it will repel other drivers. So quite an innovative safety feature.

I've watched a couple of other videos on the XL1 and the noise that little 800 diesel engine makes is interesting. Quite noisy from the outside but not too bad inside.

Also they state it requires just 8.4bhp to maintain a speed of 100km/h which is quite impressive.

Yeah surely that's such an easy fix. Just alter the calcualtion to calculate above 200mpg sureley!
