It's a nice enough colour, but I'd be worried about it being "blend into the background" grey, or more pertinently "sorry guv I didn't see you" grey.

Its a pretty big car no matter what colour, if someone cannot see it then should they actually be driving?

There's alot of people on the road that shouldn't be, I get someone trying to drive through me several times a week, not because they didn't see me but because they didn't even bother to look.  Alot of drivers really do believe they are the only car on the road, despite being surrounded by other cars.....

I was knocked off my Harley last November, whist I was stationary by the nearside hedge, by an oncoming car, in the middle of the day, on a straight, albeit narrow road.

My bike was  big, red and had the headlight on full. The driver came out with the classic SMIDSY (sorry mate, I didn't see you).

I still cannot walk properly, but I should be OK to pick up the new Octavia in May.

OK, the colour and lights on the bike made no difference, but I would still rather be a bright object on a country road than one which blends into the background, hence the choice of Corrida Red. Plus, I think it looks brilliant with the black window surrounds and door pillars!

The grey looks a bit bland but on the upside, it will take a whole lot longer than the White to look Fugly dirty and in need of a damn good wash.

Sorry guys I just don't get the white choice.

Jeez your brave, dont say that to Bitchy on here  (or however its spelt) :giggle:

Tamkyo, I think its "bitchin" which actually has nothing to do with the posters manner but, is merely a brag about the woman he's taking home at night.

I could be wrong, its just my tupennies worth but, I find it easier to visualise.

It was in reference to your comments about White cars, aimed at another member, pullin his leg, it was a word play on his user name think its really Bchti?.

Kamkyo, I'm with you all the way mate, lets just hope he ain't been drinking when he reponds to all the leg pulling.

Or got out of the wrong side of the bed the morning after..............

Kids, calm down, I am here.

Have no issue with anyones colour choices which doesn't mean that I have to like all of them. Not a big fan of red or grey although the guy with the black wheels made that work.

Not a big fan of the hobby-psychoanalysis stuff about colour choice either. Pretty sure people just buy cars in the colour they like (or can afford)..nothing more or less...which must come as an disappointment for the little hobby-Freuds out there.

Now for more pleasant news..T, the race is on. You or me first for delivery? They are gonna be on the same train and boat I think.

Here in Switzerland this is "Steel Grey". And it is a great colour. I know - mine's just arrived - ordered mid-September.

Steel grey in the UK was nothing like that colour & was discontinued last year by Skoda UK. My vehicle colour is Steel Grey - picture on the left.

We could include Wedge69 (no I don't want anyone trying to psychoanalyse that name either) I'd already offered a Beer Bet with him previously but, its not a race anyone can actually win as, its unwise to take a car on a 63 plate this time of year, I'm working in morning Sat. 1st March and the rest of it is down to the dealers/PDI mechanic's.

Whilst a great idea, I don't think any of us can actually influence the outcome directly without bunging the Stealers which really goes against the gain, I  worked hard enough on a discount, I really don't want to give them anymore.
