Towing with an Octavia?

Featured Replies

That’s sounds likely, I was around that angle when I was reversing into a pitch , I’ll see what it’s like in a straight line - thanks -  daftbugga

I would try switching manoeuvre braking off , worked for me.

So is it intended to prevent you jacknifing the trailer/caravan?

Does it use the reversing sensors or the steering angle sensor?

I don't think the Octavia MkII has manoeuvre braking. Mine certainly doesn't as it is possible to slowly reverse into something even though the sensors are telling you that you are too close.

It's intended to prevent you reversing into anything, wall/wheelie bin ETC, it uses i presume the reversing sensors.

hultum 123 who asked the question says it  has got manoeuvre braking .. I cant quote him as its on the previous page.

I have just noticed that hultum123 has posted/hijacked a thread in the MK11 section but has a MK111 scout , hence your confuzzlement .

Yes, I have just noticed that. Just proves that you should not assume anything.
