Oil consumption -  who knows!!

But in 2015 according to press announcements,

 

 so is this yet another version of a 1.4TSI Engine,  ?

 

'Volkswagen Audi Group' just confuse the public when using names like TSI/TFSI and that can be an Engine with 

a Turbo, or Turbo and Supercharger,  Turbo and Deacitivating Cylinders,

so maybe Twin Turbos and Deactivation Cylinders is coming.

 

They already are manufacturing and selling the 1.4 TSI Twincharger CAVE/CTHE engines that can Deactivate on 1 cylinder without warning.

Maybe they will fit the new Polo GTI engines with quality Plugs and Ignition Coils!

Like the comments placed in both articles. Now you need some support.

So VW are going to sell the new Polo by telling people what it really has been running the last few years anyway! We all know these cars do 0-60 in a lot less than the brochure claim

Lol, is permanent single cylinder deactivation now a feature, alongside chiropractic adjustments delivering suspension, interiors full of character and intentional oil consumption issues to stimulate owner interest in basic engineering self study.
