Spare oil?

Featured Replies

Just wondered if anyone got a spare 1l of oil for top ups when they bought their cars? The reason I ask is I didn't but my friend who bought a new Octavia did? Is he special or was I unlucky?

I did with my Fabia Monte Carlo Tech Black Edition, maybe it depends on the dealer!

I got one with mine, in an actually quite neat velcro bag ... I keep meaning to try and find another one of the velcro bags so I can keep other small things in it without them rattling around in the cavernous boot!

I got one with my Octy vRS, but that was two years ago now

Not exactly giving the right message... " hey take this for free coz your new car will be burning oil..." Brrrrrrr

Hmm, so loves mine may have been misplaced/borrowed then as mine was originally a showroom car? Must remember to give the dealer a call 'cos it's not what you'd call cheap oil :p

That's one way of looking at it :D

I did get one and the car hasn't used any oil.

Maybe a silly question but have you checked the spare wheel well under the boot floor to check the dealer didn't put it in there?

Never thought of that, best check there 1st before I go shouting the odds :p

Just picked up a 1.2 tsi and I got a free oil in my boot too

I didn't get any additional oil with my 11 month old Elegance, but what I did get was just over half a tank of diesel. A nice touch.
