monte carlo wheel colour

Featured Replies

Anybody managed to buy a touch up brush off the shelf close to the colour of the monte carlo wheels. Got a small scratch on one and was wanting to fix it without having to go to a specialist as it is only minor.

Try halfords they usually let you take a handfull of touch brushes out to see best match with the lid colour. However when the paint dries there could be an issue....... but it probably not that noticeable.

I've got the Peugeot pearl Black touch up from Halfords off my old car and it matches great.

Scuffed my front near side wheel a week after getting the car and tried it and you can't tell where it was.

I think it was £12 for the 3 part kit.

The wheels look a grey metallic instead of black? I'll give it a try

You're right, on my Peugeot it didn't really match but on my Monte's wheels it does.

Skoda F7S Dark Grey is the colour you're looking for.

Thanks. Is that available off the shelf or would I need to get it mixed by a paint factor?

I've scuffed a couple of mine over the last 3 years + just touched up with that king of the rat car - black smoothrite (cheap 'n cheerful me as always). I must say it worked pretty well and was quite hard to spot even close up.

Lets face it unless UR really lucky any scratch is always gonna show no matter what paint you use.

I would add that I also did a proper job with a higher speed kerb clip, making a proper silvery rim mess.

'The Wheel Specialist'  in Manchester did a great recondition.

They did a paint match that is so good I can't remember which two they fixed now - despite them going on at length about the risk of the wheel not matching the others etc. etc. ('spose they have to cover themselves).

If you mix skoda black magic with the graphite grey in a ratio of 1:3 it matches perfectly
