Which brand ECU in the Skoda Octavia VRS?

Featured Replies

Hoping someone could tell me which manufacturer have made the ECU in my car?

I am aware that I could remove some covers to find this out myself, but I am lazy..

I am guessing Siemens, anyone who can confirm?

I can look on etka later. It may not show that much detail though.

Diesels will have Bosch EDC (Electronic Diesel Control) ECU's...believe all common rail cars do as Bosch developed CR technology and probably still hold all the patents.

Not so sure about the petrol versions. Siemens sounds likely.

Common rail components are made by lots of manufacturers not just Bosch. (Delphi, Denso, Visteon, Continental, etc)

VAG group use Continental & Delphi for the standard common rail diesel engines (Eu5 and Eu6).

I'm not sure what they use for the vRS TSI and TDI though.

Must be someone here who knows?

Nothing showing on etka but have noted that I need an update.

Do an internet search for vw ecu and you may find something that way.

Similar to park pilot ecu's on another thread for adding front parking sensors.

VCDS would tell you.
