I have just purchased a 07 skoda roomster 1.4 comfort model.drivers window is malfunctioning when you open it it opens completely and will not close.  anybody any ideas on this problem

It's worth doing a search in both Roomster and Fabia sections.  Hope you get it sorted.

Most of my problems with the windows have been solved by opening the windows using the key and going through the complete opening/unlocking cycle followed by a complete closing/ locking cycle. Also used a little spray dry lube on the window runners.

When I had my car serviced by my local garage, AA Auto Care , Adlington, Lancashire, I asked him to look at mine as they had a mind of their own if it rained. He took off the door card, liberally laced the mechanism, electrics etc. with water proof grease and they've been fine and dandy ever since.
