Featured Replies

Ok so went to change my top mounts after a while of them knocking. Unfortunately, this is what I found...

Looks like the left bolt is snapped and the right one has snapped the mounting not the bolt? What the hell has someone done to this...

On a level of "one" to "justin bieber in prison", how screwed am I ?

Jesus, how the hell did that end up like that???

Don't panic had this happen a few weeks ago on mine. Looks like ones broke off below the surface and the other one left enough to get a nut on.

I had to cut a hole inside the boot and broke off the captive (it's only tacked on) the used a nut and bolt to secure. When I get chance I'll be tidying up the hole an fitting a suitable grommet.

If you can weld you could always weld a new nut on afterwards.

Looks like that may be the only way. the one on the right looks to have taken a piece of the body with it...  :wall:

so there is no "plate" as such in the body, just two spot welded nuts that the TM bolts go into?

Where the nuts are welded on there's a plate for them to sit on, it has a gap in it for the top mount to sit in.
