HOW MUCH!

Featured Replies

The last 2 bidders - involved in the bid increases from £290 to £1500, £2100 then £2150 - have zero feedback. One or both may well be the tooth fairy. JMTPW.

Seller has no feedback either.  Last 2 bidders are probably friends of the seller who has asked them to 'bump up' the price.  ;)

This practice is illegal and against the trading rules of eBay so I'd imagine they will have their account closed and banned from future registrations.

I put a Saab wind deflector on Ebay with a "buy now" price of £140 - it went for £175 ????

Mind boggle!

You think I paid too much ?

several years ago a friend of mine bought 3 of the original playstations, (rrp £199) then sold the 2 others for £300 each near the first Christmas when there was a shortage (this was pre e-bay)

Auction fever is well known; I used to go to bankruptcy auctions and see crates of Coke Cola selling for 40% above the supermarket price, knackered old portable TVs selling for more than  a new one etc..

Once the idiots had blown their wads the regulars used to settle down and pay realistic money, I got a 2 seater + 3 seater settee set, still in the delivery wrappings - for £100, and a lightly used 2 seater plus chair, plus rocker chair set for £20.

Still, interesting bid histories on those last 3 bidders.
