Can you fit sat nav on a Octavia estate CR SE 63 plate

Featured Replies

Hello

Just about to purchase my first ever Skoda and want to know if it's possible to fit sat nav if it's not been fitted in the factory?

I have assumed as the computer is there as well as the touch screen it will just be a software update, however that sound to good to be true so it probably is.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks

Hello Mr Apple. I think you might be in the wrong Octavia forum however if you do have an Octavia II then please ignore me. I'm sure this is do-able though and that someone will be able to help.

Given that it says in your post title its a CR I a pretty sure its an Octavia 2. If it has a touch screen then it may have navigation already. What is written on the top of the unit, is it something like Colombus or Bolero.

This will help to identify the current unit.

Yes it's a straightforward enough retrofit.

You need a Columbus head unit (they have 8 buttons and non sat nav head units only have 6).

You then need someone with VCDS to avtive it so it works like a factory fitted one., do you have the full maxidot display?

Thanks for the comments everyone,

Hungry horace - Im not exactly sure if its Colombus or Bolero, Im test driving both cars next week however i wanted to know that sat nav could be fitted as an extra.

From the Pics you can see the dash unit has 4 tabs each side of the screen.

My aim is to get the garage to fit it as part of the sale, I wanted to know if it was possible before they make up and excuse that it can't be done because of the relation between the earth and the moon,

(feel free to insert any other wild excuses that could be used by a salesperson)
