Anyone else in the >50k club - vRS

Featured Replies

Rolled over 50,000 miles last week - not bad in 18 months...

Only one new engine (burnt valve, not oil consumption at 22k, so really only have 28k on this engine) to report - apart from that, it's been pretty much faultless!  10k to go...

This car is brilliant,

We are counting it as good if a vRS makes it to 50k on "only one new engine" :giggle:

I'm cozying up to 44k so nearly there.

did exactly 50k in my old one phill, will no issues at all.... 14k in the new one so far :)

66k done now. New engine at 26k so done 40k on the new one and not a single problem so far

I'm a few hundred miles shy of the 50k mark. I must be one of the few lucky ones as I'm still running on my original engine.

Jesus. Will anybody be brave enough to keep theres with high (for a vrs) mileage out of warranty? Haha

No warranty here and no sale planned :)

Class of July 2010 baby

That makes 2 of us from the July 2010 class Sparkly. :)

56K on a 61 plate.

On variable serving and despite some very hard use only using about a litre every 5K and performance still good.

Will take out dealer warranty probably for next 12 months.

Looks like I'll be keeping mine well out of warranty - apparently my company vehicle policy has changed and instead of 3 years/60k (whichever comes first) they've dropped the 60k part.  On that basis, I'll be aiming for 100k before it goes now.

Yeah just been looking at some of the latest posts and pics on Fabia vRS Oil Fix thread.

to say I clenched, doesn't really cover it!

Fingers crossed a good 'un will remain a good 'un :whew:

59.8k and just ticked 3 years old last month.

I thought yours was on it's way Evil?

Are you keeping it now?

Unfortunately I'm not brave enough to keep the vehicle out of warranty so am currently waiting to collect its replacement :)

I've been stuck on Rishworth Moor (M62) too often for my liking.

I can appreciate that if it kept leaving you in the lurch on the '62.  that's usually where I've spotted you driving on a morning, driving not broken down though.

What are you getting.

(sorry last post, didn't mean to derail thread)

When was the new engine fitted, or is that 59,800 miles with it in?

Triggers broom is rather different.

New engine was fitted at 38k so 20k trouble free miles but I still don't 'trust' it...

to the point I still have 4 litres of oil in the boot :/

What are you getting.

No comment, yet.  Lets just say I will blend in perfectly on the M62 :)

Cripes a Lorry?

BMW's are nice.   Maybe get them to set with the 'Indicators enabled to operate option'.
