Proof or it doesn't happen. These cars do not do 68 mpg. literally the only way this could be possible was if you coasted down a 600 mile hill in neutral.

 

68mpg isn't stupidly high? I've had an indicated 83mpg on the on board computer which I know it wouldn't be doing but it must have been in the mid 70's. 

 

Plus coasting uses fuel anyway, be better going down the hill in 6th 

Honestly I never see much over 400 to a tank. maybe 430 if i'm lucky.

And my average usually says high 40's

Same as me, if the average on the computer (not accurate I know) is in the high 40's then I'm happy. High 50's if on the motorway.

Around 380 miles out of a full tank normally, most I had was 450 or 460.

It does double the miles that my old car did, which was only a 1.2 petrol so I'm happy with 350+ miles from a full tank.

600 miles to a tank is easily achievable. That was a 51L fill up. My average to and from work is 65+ everyday. Obviously driving it for economy though..very little half to full throttle moments..

As said that's using the expansion tank too so you get about 50 litres in. You can do between 100-150 miles before the needle even moves! That was pretty much all motorway driving at 70ish but in the summer 600 miles to a tank was the norm.

When I filled it with 51 litres the needle never moved till 260 miles in!

Just had a thought. What tyre pressures is everyone running on? Mine are 32 psi all round. I'm currently getting 380-410 per tank.

I think i'm just bitter that I never see such figures! I do like to have a little boost every now and then..
