Rear fogs and reverse lights?

Featured Replies

I've noticed that my car only has 1 rear fog light. Is there 2 but needs to be turned on using VCDS?

Also how many reverse lights do the FL vRS have?

AFAIK there still isn't a way of enabling the second rear foglight via vcds.

There is. Look in the vcds section as it says in there

Are you sure it's not just for the pre FL cars as Scott1874 has a FL one?

Pre-FL can have both fog lights enabled with VCDS quite easily.

There is one video of a FL with both fogs enabled, but no instructions or details of how to have emerged and many have asked.

AFAIK they all have two reversing lights.

It should be possible, the reason its like it is so they use the same units for left and right hand drive cars

Unless there is a variation in the wiring loom.  RHD could have a slightly different loom.

It can be done on the Mk3, so must be do-able on the Mk2 FL.

Its done via an adaption on the mkIII rather than Long Coding.  If anyone in the Notts/Derby area has an FL mkII I could have a look.

I believe that video is done using VAS dealer software rather than VCDS

I'm in the Notts/Derby area if you want to have a look.

Quite probably.

No one seems to have been able to do it with VCDS on a FL and the guy who posted the only actual evidence of dual fogs on a FL hasn't ( to my knowledge) said how it was done.

OK, we can see if there is anything we can do at the same time. Drop me a PM when you have some free time. I'm around most of tomorrow.
