Vinyl...

Featured Replies

Just fitted silver gloss vinyl over the central part of the hood of my car...mainly there to protect the hood in future since it's full of god damned chips...

And if anybody is going to ask me why it looks so high again, it's not the car, it's the uneven ground.

Uhh, why's the car so high?

Definately not digging the vinyl. Draws attention from all the hard work you put in with the lights and grille etc and makes it look a bit cheap. Just my opinion...

And stone chips - that's why they invented carbon bonnets (isn't it?!).

really really dont like the vinyl sorry :(

Yuk !!! Take it off !!

PS. I don't like it !

Jesus

Sorry Mil, you just ruined your car.:thumbdwn:

I kinda like it in an odd, blocky, sort of way?...

Mil, I think we need a better pic say from the front to give a better idea of how the car now looks.

carbon bonnets are fitted as they are lighter

Just a thought.... how about getting the vinyl done in black??

You guys aren't the only one's who thought it din't look so good..in fact, if you paid attention, I din't go crazy about it...I'm havin' my thoughts about it too, been having it all day....I just watched 'Herbie, fully loaded' too, so I'm imagining my car begging for me to remove that sticker off her forehead :)

My car is goin' in for service tomorrow...also, my sevice advisor din't like it much...remove it?

Hey dude,

Do you know how much it would be usually to get the hood resprayed from a dealer? With my discount figure, mine comes upto about GBP40. Is that a good price there?

Erm if its a proper job then 40 Pound is an excellent price, I would expect to pay 150-300 for a bonnet respray

Yo dude,

I'm not feeling it man.

AIR you can get a clear vinyl to stop the stone chips. I think Funky Jutel had some on his old Silver vRS.

Yep - I was only joshing. They're loads lighter, and pretty cool if you're into that sort of thing.

Do you think you could get someone to make a carbon bonnet for GBP40?
