Finally got my custom exhaust made up on friday, makes a lovely sound.

Got it made at Edwards Motorsport, in 2.5", so nice to drive, the let off it lovely, feels alot better and would recommend these guys to anyone, i got a deal as i know them, but wouldnt expect any less from them!

Ill try through some pictures up later, if the weather holds out. They made me a full system from the turbo.

backbox? any silencers? how loud isit?

No backbox, no silencers, straight through exhaust from the turbo.

It's loud, but nothing like a petrol. I like the sound. I'll try get a video up too.

I got a good price on it as I know the owner, but I could find out a price for others. Maybe do a deal if I can for you?

They're located in west Drayton, uxbridge way.

And no cat.

ah interesting, i've been thinking about fabricating an exhaust system for me felicia, even gone as far as ordering a few pipes and elbows from jetex, but alas i'm too lazy to get the welding glvoes out, might give these people a try instead, the other place i was recommended was mike stokes motorsport in bournemouth too

Probably for the same exhaust as mine, be around £400, but you need to realise what sort of work they do before jumping ahead, saying that price is too dear. If that makes sense?

These guys are located just outside of london, may be a far mission but sometimes its all about having to travel to get the best :)

Hoping they got the tailpipe more central than in that pic though?  :bandit:

Should have had a dummy cat welded in IMO,as its a MOT fail now without it fitted :(

Have to agree and could prove to be a expensive mistake unless rectified.

Looks like a nice piece of fabrication work.

Is this a new regulation Kev?

Last I heard there didn't need to be one fitted on a diesel, from reading how the regulations were carefully worded...

That's for DPF though, not for a catalytic converter...??

If you get past all the arguing abd read first post on the link, it basically says new mot rule in this year where any vehicle that was fitted with a cat or a dpf from the manufacturer, must still have it on in order to pass.

Cheers for the link Richard. Christ, I gave up on the second page!!!

Oh well... another kick in the nuts for people off the government :-/  Good job many of us on here have our friendly testers!

I still got my cat on but someone did mention that egr deletes were going to be put on test too. Thats one im worried about.
