Is this a new regulation Kev?

 

Last I heard there didn't need to be one fitted on a diesel, from reading how the regulations were carefully worded...

any diesel will pass m.o.t without dpf or cat but new laws coming in are stating they must be present 

I still got my cat on but someone did mention that egr deletes were going to be put on test too. Thats one im worried about.

Yes that's right, technically speaking the engine is capable of passing the smoke density test without a dpf, but irrespective of that it will be an automatic fail visually if it's missing or removed.

Just obscure the view of the tester with somthing lol. Guessing they are still unable to remove items, engine cover comes to mind lol
