Ultra Racing RARB supplied by Unit 18

Featured Replies

Either way, they will all do their jobs, I'd just feel better knowing something was bolted to my car rather than strapped around something, just my opinion thow :)

  • I can assure you we do the Ultra racing rear arb for the Fabia 1 amongst other products on the way, Crest Motorsport is not ultra racing uk and won't know anything about the product we have fitted to

  • Keep an eye on the Unit18 trader section I'm sorting out a group buy and full listing in the next few days

  • the design of the jabba and whiteline is very poor, clamping it into position? This is fixed into position by 8 bolts, much better in my opinion.

No-one's mentioning H&R either!

Yeah right, wondering why that is? Still not fitted mine yet but I was happy with the price I paid.

Nope, I definitely drive a Mk 1 vRS!

They have literally just developed these for the Mk1 Fabia only a couple of weeks ago, hence why they don't appear on Ultra Racing's website.

Price wise though, Ali hasn't yet got an exact RRP price, but believes they'll be £180(ish) + VAT

Hi,

Unfortunately Ultra Racing do not currently produce any components for the Skoda Fabia Mk1. However, if you are able to provide full details of the vehicle and confirm specifically what you are looking for, we will be happy to look into this further on your behalf.

Kind regards,

Alex

Ah right, read it made something worse. I like my car so I won't be fitting some that makes it unstable on the arse end.

will only go tail happy if your in the habbit of braking on corners on tje edge. And if your in that habbit, your a bad driver.

No dig intended! Im sure your a good driver soooo.... get kne bought. You will never look back (no joke intended)

Ali could you list prices for the other braces that are available to fit the MK1 skoda Fabia vrs please?

I'm liking the look of the front lower strut brace/cradle is it compatible?

Just a little side question. If you were to uprate the FARB afterwards, what would that do to the handling characteristics?

Little less oversteer but overall roll reduction would be significant

People say that running the whiteline rarb on the stiffest setting causes the back end to step out but it's a load of *******s really. I've never had it step out on me and I drive mine pretty hard so if you're driving that hard to make it step out you deserve to spin off. I love my rarb but this does look nice

it lists all parts for the polo gti 1.8t and that is the same platform as our car they may not know that. You are determined to try and prove that they don't make parts for the Mk1 Fabia when unit 18 have already put a rear brace on a Mk1 Fabia ha.

I too ordered a H&R RARB for the Fabia mk2 and that fits the Fabia Mk1 along with my Seat Ibiza mk4. All interchangeable.

That's not 100% true, the beams are slightly different as are the weights of the car so be careful

My mistake I thought the Fabia/ibiza/9n and 9n3 polo's were all the same. Even still, their is parts available that was my point :)

Hmm, maybe that's just for the H&R RARB then? As that only fits to the where the rear shock are and not as per this rarb in this thread.

Set up a group buy for it for a range of platforms and everyone seems to have fitted their okay / not had any problems.

How far does this hang down?? I want one, but I think I'll rip this bad boy straight off

It sits only a few mm lower than the rear beam and is angled so contact would glance off rather than catch

Cars in the body shop atm having a bonnet respray, but should get it back tomorrow so I'll post a photo up with the car seated on the ground :)

As Ali said, it's only very slightly, and you'll probably end up whacking the rear beam before hitting the RARB

mail me prices of all braces you have and i'll buy the lot of you. cheers

What I don't understand is, why the need for the bolts? Looking at the pic above, it could of been made in a one piece design making it stronger and cheaper to make.

Actually lot more difficult to fabricate if it were one piece and difficult to fit as well, bolts are much more forgiving when it comes to slight differences in alignment.
