I think my interior light has have up on me, now I've read somewhere about being able to fit a passat one in there, can anyone shed any light on this? Or pictures cheers

Yeah, you can replace it with a Passat or Superb w8 light like this:

 

Has two red "mood lights" which give a slight red glow over the gearstick/centre console. It's pretty subtle and enough not to distract from driving at night. You can use a Passat W8 one, that will have red buttons though if that bothers you? I'd try and get one from a superb, the mood lighting is still red but the buttons light up green to match the rest of the interior. There is one on ebay but it's a bit ropey, it'd need spraying black to match the Fabia headlining anyway.

As said above, the superb one has green lighting on the buttons. You can splice the wires into the fabia loom if you wish but you can get a pre made loom off ebay to retro fit it as it's not plug and play otherwise

Cheers guys ! My dads old vectra had similar lights pointing to the gear stick and it looked nice. Wouldn't be to bothered about the light colour as I was thinking of getting the speedo lights changed to a different colour as well, just be a case if whatever comes up cheapest I guess
