Featured Replies

Sorry - I'm going to stop coming on this forum with a hangover as it obviously makes me a bit tetchy!

  • My dealer did not ask for a fee for the consumption test. I received free oil (they reinbursed me for all the oil I purchased) from the moment I first raised concern over high consumption. They washed

  • This saga will continue beyond the last Fabia vRS MK2 LEAVES THE SHOWROOM IN THE UK.   It appears to me that you, sk4gw, are the only person in the UK that give help and consistent information relat

  • I thought it worth mentioning that (according to what my dealer have said) if your car fails a consumption test then all future tests are free of charge. Therefore for anyone who has bought 2nd hand

Just bumping this, for those being scared off by Skoda Dealerships in the UK,

that are not treating the matter with the seriousness that it needs.

There were 1,800 CAVE Fabia MK2 sold in the UK,

Skoda & VW know the problems, and know 0.5 litres used in 621 miles really is not acceptable in normal use,

no special adverse driving conditions etc.

They know when they approve a Breather /valve mod & ECU update that it uses too much oil,

& the results might be better later, but Skoda / VW know the engine can and probably will have issues later on.

Bumping again for anyone being told, "if your Oil use is within Guidelines you have to pay for the test".

Skoda UK know the possible issues with the 1,800 CAVE Engine 1.4 TSI Twinchargers they sold in the UK.

Skoda UK need to be footing the Bill for any Oil Consumption Test & sorting out the Faulty Manufactured VW engine

no matter if it is out of the Original Manufactures 3 Year Warranty, which almost all CAVE engine cars will be buy late 2015.
