Park assist is the clever semi-auto parking system that uses front, rear (and side) sensors.  Park sensors are, well, just parking sensors.

Parking assist is where the car takes control to park the car itself.

Park AssistDrivers who have hard time accurately judging the length of the parking space will greatly appreciate the Park Assist system. The Park Assist will also help them with the manoeuvring into the parking space itself.

After a simple press of a button, the Park Assist equipped car is able to find a large enough gap between the parked cars. When a suitable gap (length of the car plus 80cm) is found the car asks driver to shift into reverse and then parks almost by itself. The car’s electronics turn the steering wheel, while driver adjusts the speed, using pedals. Park Assist communicates with the driver through voice instructions and symbols on the Maxi DOT display.

Thanks guys. I thought it was. Going to be a bit strange getting used to that!
