Not another leak thread? yes...

Featured Replies

Hey guys, i have spent a week trying to figure out where the hell i have water ingress in the back of my hatch.

The water is pooling IN in the bootid, and coming out through the hole in the trim for the pull strap when i lift the hatch.

I assumed it was the wiper motor... nope, all dry there around there.

then thought it must becoming down throught the frame from the hinges, but.... nope. they are dry too!

the outside of the boot seal is wet as expected given the weather, but the inside edges are all dry.

I only found and pulled the 2 plugs in the bottom of the hatch which at least is lefting the water out, thus not pouring into the boot when i open it, but where the the F-ing hell is the water coming from???

I'm running out of ideas :(

Mine does the same but not huge amounts like yours. I solved 1 leak n the boot but haven't got round to looking at this one properly. I popped out the handle, light, lock trim thing and sealed it, not that - it's a funny one and I think it might be the hinge arm. Just need a dry warm say so I can look at it without getting hypothermia

You could sit inside the car and get someone with a reasonably powerful hose to blast it in certain places for you. Might be good to peel back trim before hand so yo uget a better view.

Ive had the trim off for a week....

Lol I took all my back seats out (apart from the uprights) out of the back a week ago. I like it, it's like a small van in the back!
