Used one? / Thoughts - Farecla G3 Clay Mitt -

Featured Replies

Yes...I use Fairy liquid with it...but any waxless shampoo will do

Just bought three more with the 3 for 2 offer @ Halfords

Why specifically `waxless`, Chris?

Regards

Mike.

  • Used mine yesterday on Alan's (AlanR36) bonnet Very impressed...works well with Car shampoo and warm water Far easier and quicker than a clay bar and zero marring!! Just as effective too Worth get

  • Bought one of these a couple of weeks ago and finally got chance to give it a go today.    I've never clayed before, well i have but it lasted all of 10 minutes. I got bored after doing a 6"x6" sect

Presumably so that it doesn't put anything back down onto the paintwork. A "wash n wax" type shampoo will add a little wax onto the surface of the paint, therefore the clay /clay mitt will struggle to do it's job.

Not that it wont do its job .......

The primary reason for claying, is to remove contaminants from the paintwork...Wash&Wax will leave some wax behind

Used the mitt for the first time this weekend. So easy and what a difference it made. I could feel the paint getting smoother with each pass. Keep the paint and mitt nice and wet and it takes minutes to do the whole car4yzasaju.jpg

Used it on mine this weekend. Loads of time saved. Main tip is to keep it wet and if you drag it over edges it can leave some of it behind. Stick to flat surfaces and anything it can't do use clay

These certainly are popular! Of the 4 batches bought on Halford's 3 for 2..... i'm still using my first one!!!

...but the rest have been snapped up by others eager to sample them!

Last one posted off this morning to a mate on OCD Forum. Time to get some more i think.

No profit made either - before anyone quips in!  :giggle:

Just happy to share the good detailing products...

I got one of these at the weekend after seeing the reviews on here.

I can't believe how much easier this is than traditional claying, and it gave just as good results.

I did the whole car in about 30 minutes!

yep - these things are a great step forward in the prep process.

Yeah way better than messing with a clay bar folding and messing.

Easy to use and very fast. Much better!
