D-Side Indicator Permanently On - Is my CCM module dead?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I've had a bit of an intermittent issue for a couple of months where the bulb out warning would come on. Bulbs are all OK and the warning would go away with turning the ignition off and on again.

Now the drivers side indicator is permanently lit with ignition on or off and the car locked etc. A search of the site has suggested that the Central Convenience Module could be to blame. Can anyone shed any light on it?

It's a 59 plate VRS TDi and out of warranty

Thanks guys

Phil

First thing I would try is a reset by dropping the battery off for half an hour. I would also take the trims off under the dash and see if there has been any water ingress causing the issue.

Thanks I'll try that first

Had exactly yhe same problem end December/early January.

CCM replaced by dealer. Problem cam back after a few days. Dealer replaced CCM again and so far all OK.

the battery reset didn't work. Is the ccm under the steering column or the glovebox? I'll check for any water

I think its under the steering column.

I had to have my keys re-coded each time also.
