Connecting ipod to Stream MP3 radio

Featured Replies

Hi folks

I have read a few posts on here regarding connecting ipod to a stream mp3 radio and have gotten rather confused.

My car doesnt have an armrest with an aux in socket.

How do i go about connecting my ipod?

Thanks

I have a Dension Gateway, i only use it for usb but it does have an ipod connector also (needs a specific cable)

The stream sees it as a cd changer, and if you have maxidot the info will display on it too

I know you can get little transmitter docks that plug into the cigarette lighter socket and transmit via FM, you just tune radio into it and play your iPod as you wish.

There isn't one by default unless you have the Jumbo box armrest then there might be a 3.5mm aux in connection in there.

If not, you can retrofit one to the Stream MP3 (but not the non-MP3 version).

Skodateile sell one (http://translate.goo...8TXWCplY1u3Mtjg) or Eddie_NL on here may have one available.

It plugs into the loom / quadlock behind the headunit and the 3.5mm socket can be located wherever you want it.

I don't think the Stream MP3 is compatible with the MDI, so that may be out of the question.

If you want to get handy with some soldering, you can keep the 6-disc boot CD changer... Otherwise I think this replaces that input. Although I'm sure CarSystems.pl used to sell one that retained the CD changer, but it's not on their website anymore.

Hope that helps.
