Having the usual both electric front windows not working, im needing the module that sits on top of the drivers window motor... can get one new for £130 but dont fancy that idea too much.

Where does everyone else get theirs? and how much? My part number isnt on ebay, cant find any 6Y2959802.. can find 6Q2959802 though, think this would do the trick or not?

Any advice would be helpful :)

Cheers, Scott.

Anything starting 6Q would be from a seat Ibiza I think lee.

Shows up on Fabia MkI 2007 though, interchangeable parts probably?

I have a late 56 plate vRS and have had to change the motor recently. Symptoms were dead front windows, but mirrors and c/l worked fine. Be very careful buying used stuff. I bought two correct part number second hand motors for them not to work.

In the end I rang Jonathon at Rainworth Skoda who ran my reg number through the parts system and there are 3 versions of the same motor part number, all with different suffix's at the end, according to what spec the later cars were. Some difference in the software apparently Mine was suffix SK1.

I had to stomach the £130 however it worked first time and ive got 12m warranty on the part. Expensive but buy once and buy right....

Forgot to add the SK1 doesn't appear anywhere on the Motor, just on the end of the part number on the box

I got my drivers motor for £35 of eBay. Took me awhile to find the correct one after sending the part number to 2 different people. the one said yer it matches, it arrived and was not right and was the older unit with different plugs. Second guy I sent the number to said yes as well all matching, it arrived and was the passenger one with the same part number but a L not a R (I think) maybe P not D any was the wrong part again after stating the full part number. Third time lucky as they say, this time I got the correct part. I had no front windows for months on end and some of it was summer :(
