What's a good mpg?

Featured Replies

What kind of mpg do you get?

I get a solid 40mpg from my 1.3 Felicia estate.

in my old 1.3 I`d hit 40mpg, but in the 1.6 im lucky to get 36 mpg, still great going in an old car and 310 miles to £50 worth of fuel a week is good with me

I checked the economy on my 1.6 this week and got 37mpg. Pretty fair considering the abuse it gets :-)

Sad but I've been recording mine for over 2 years and it's averaged over 45mpg. The best I've had from a tank in that time was over 52mpg and I got a few of them. Worst was a bit over 36mpg - winter and local roads. It's a 1.9 diesel estate.

Funnily enough, when I had my last pickup I was getting a good solid 41mpg from it time after time and that was with 130bhp 1.6 16v engine too.. I always found it a bit odd that it would do more than a big standard one.
