Well thats the right oil in it now.

Didn't take tpo long to change it over.

Next change at 100,000 miles.

sory about the newbie question but how frequently are you supposed to change the gearbox oil? itäs not "lifetime" stuff in there is it?

HJ once said long ago, that gearbox oil is good to be changed after first year of cars life, as all the potential gear grind junk and bedding of gears will/might produce some small particles that will be in gearbox oil.

 

I changed mine after about 18 months from the date I bought the car new.

 

I have about 65.000km now, will give it a new oil again at 100.000km

 

Doesn't cost much and some piece of mind..
