NOT

Had one as a hire car today. Apart from the DCI engine which was nippy, the car is poorly screwed together, small boot, and bland inside.

If you're considering one, then my advice is don't.

Well done for calling it a JUKE, Simon

That's why there's no photographic evidence - didn't want to break the camera on my phone.

Those stupid bug eyes can be seen from the driving seat and drove me bonkers.

The Gear stick is also odd in that even though it's short, it feels like it's a meter long.

Oh and the bonnet was bouncing around so much I thought it was open. Either poor reinforcing, or its been in an accident and been badly repaired

I was just going to comment on the total number of people in said group being raised to 1 but unfortunately I can no longer do this.

I don't get why anyone likes the pumped up micra.

At least Nissan were adventurous in the design, which is more than can be said for virtually every other manufacturer producing the same old boring euroboxes

Only other one being Renault who also seem to have an adventurous design team.

I had a Note as a courtesy car the other week. Awful bag of nails. The Renault version (Modus?) is equally ****e.

I thought it was spelled Puke?

It was only going to be a matter of time  :(

I suppose that being inside is better than being outside, given that you cannot see so much of the exterior from inside.

Exactly.

One of the reasons I believe the mk1 Yeti took off so well.

There is a section of the car buying public out there that wants something a bit different.

The Nismo version looks nicer than the stock Juke and has a nicer interior too.

I quite liked that...

I actually like the juke, although ive never driven one.

One thread about cars being boring, another about them being ugly :D

I like them, not driven one but been a passenger in one briefly. As others have said, nice refreshing design, beauty is in the eye and all that.

<cough> Roomster <cough>  :)

At least you know it's a Roomster.

No doubt Skoda will numb that dowm with the mk2 like they're gradually doing with all their range....mk2 Yeti for instance. ( IN MY OPINION)

Test drove new Note diesel when it was launched as I had it on long list for replacement lease car. Thought I was going to die at one roundabout when I tried to pull out into traffic....acceleration was awful. Interior drab, seats not comfortable. Soon dismissed

True.

I am in the group of people who like cars that are a bit different.

I quite like the capabilities of Audis but I'd never buy one because they all look the same and I find them boring.

With Skoda going the same way with the "one face fits all" design idea there isn't a single Skoda now on sale that makes me think it's worth the cost to trade up.

Sad really, but so many cars out there are just a bit bland because they are similar.

They may look nice in the showroom, but once you get out on the road and see loads almost exactly the same I'd soon wish I'd bought something else.

Heaven knows what I'll eventually replace my mk1 Yeti with.

Just keep it until it dies a natural death, Richard, in the hope that things come full circle and the manufacturers realise the error of their ways

Thought I was the only one that thought the mk2 Yeti has lost it's unique desirable appeal by DARING to be different.

It's a fine looking beast, and those whopping big lights at the front just make it for me. :sun:

This is one of the main reasons (apart from emissions strangulation regulations) for me being so interested in the classic car scene.

If I was given £20-30 k to go out and spend on a brand  new car today, I'd be struggling to decide tbh.

As much as i like the adventurous design  route that Renault are going down, the electrics worry me due to their appalling past reliability problems.

Don't like the Puke but I know a few people who love theirs.

If I bought cars on looks alone I wouldn't be driving an Octavia so I suppose I shouldn't curse them too badly.

For me it's the mix of pretend 4x4, French build quality (from past personal experience), faux luxury,  and looks I really don't like that just make it a horrible car.

If I bought on looks alone I guess I'd probably be driving a Citroen.

We have a Nissan dealer locally and given my wife works in a school out in the sticks of the Scottish Borders you would think it was a contender.  It is just not due to being hideous, common as mud and mostly driven by women of a certain age.

We will be looking at a Yeti on Saturday, not the new one.  I was in a main dealer on Monday and said to the salesman that I preferred my Superb nose to the facelift and how I disliked the corporate nose fixation.

Kill it with fire..... along with the Fiat Multipla, both of which make the last of the Ford Scorpio look bland

I think I missed the rock hard suspension.

At least I think it should have had suspension. I had sports suspension on the Octavia, and it was harder that that!
