Bluetooth or MDI for the Bolero

Featured Replies

As above, which of these is the best option?

All what would be required is to play music (SD card loading seems to be a bit slow, firmware version is either 52 or 53 (cant remember which))

It sounds as though you've still got the old Bolero firmware Chris. Update that and your SD card reading will be perfect. Lots cheaper too!

Would I need to book it in with the dealer for the update?

Yes I believe so Chris.

Firmware update is the cheapest solution.

MDI will allow you to charge a phone or iPod or use a USB stick with a larger capacity than the SD card.

BT streaming will also give you the ability to make hand free phone calls but is the most expensive option.

Horses for courses really.

Went to my local dealer (Simpsons) and they want £75 just to check the firmware :(

I have an MDI module spare Chris. Just needs a loom making up.

Drop me a PM for info. Put it this way, you could have MDI up and running nearly for the price of that dealer check!
