skoda vrs re shuffle. what happened to you?

Featured Replies

So I was provisional bw 13 after ordering 19 Dec. I lost that last week, apparently with many other vrs customers in some kind of reshuffle. I'm now back on the system with a 'confirmed' bw 20. Dealer is checking with SUK, he is as confused as me with a confirmed status.

So a 7 week slip, order to collection will now be almost 6 months, but on the plus side if the confirmed status is correct I can start planning!

No loaner likely in the mean time..... military discount cars are classed as fleet so it seems SUK have different rules and don't force dealers to supply a loan car.

Tsi hatch manual with only sunset glass.

What has happened to the rest of you?

Neiln, I ordered on 15th December TDi vRS estate. I never had a provisional week allocated but the dealer told me that all vRS ordered had now lost their build weeks... I understand that Skoda get updates on Thursdays, so maybe we all have weeks allocated now? I'm gonna email my dealer straight away!

Just been into my dealer and saw pages of no build dates for VRS on screen.  Needless to say I don't have one.

Elegance models are coming through fine which have most of the same bits on.

By my guessing it is really only trim, body kit, wheels and suspension that differs.  Extra 20 odd hp can only be mapping changes over the 150.

Is there no end to the pain...

seems to be getting worse..dec order no build date or idea..

May be we should all start writing to the various car mzgs and get them to start chasing...even just to get an idea of what the hells going on.

When I was in the process of deciding to cancel mine the dealer was at their wits end, they said they didn't know for sure but on the little info they had been given they expected it to be pushed back....

There have been problems from the start for vRS orders. I ordered mine last July and got it this month after 27 and a bit weeks waiting. I've heard from my dealer that current orders have slipped again. I empathise with all members waiting for their vRS.

All I can say, having gone through the pain, is that the feeling you get driving off your dealer's forecourt in your shiny new Octavia is worth the wait.

I can't understand why SUK find it ok to have no info from the factory.  Why are they not pushing the factory for information at least?  It is in their interest to get cars to us so thta they get paid!

As another military customer who would expect to be swapping after a year, this is concerning as mine is a year old in October, given these lead times I could be expected to order may or even april!

for those who are waiting for their first one I would say its worth the wait but 6-7 months is really too long!

I ordered on 23 Dec. I had a build week 19 last time I checked. How do you go about getting a loan car? The dealer told me when I ordered it would be upto 6 months so I don't suppose I have any right to suggest a loan car before that time? I am planning a holiday later in the year in the vRS so could do with it by then!

Having a business where people want a product and cannot get it for months is commercial suicide. Skoda failed to anticipate the demand for the vrs and that was a big mistake. Even worse, they are seemingly doing nothing to increase their efficiency or production and treating their customers with contempt through very poor communication. I think their days at the top of the satisfaction surveys are limited unless they actually take control of the situation and respond.

I'm also waiting on a VRS that was BW8, then BW18 and now not there. Skoda Finance are chasing me for what my plan is at the end of my current PCP. They tell me I can keep paying and the GFV will adjust, but I'll be charged interest! On top of that I'll need to tax it. At least my dealer is paying for MOT.

SUK tell me to speak to dealer, who knows as much as me. Skoda Finance don't talk to SUK or the dealer and SUK promise to ring back and don't!

I ordered Nov 27th.

Really thinking of cancelling, but really want the car.

Just tried to get a weekly motor mag involved with an email to see if they can find answers. I have bought a "Vrs" plate expecting to take delivery while "14" plates are being issued, so if I cancelled I would have to sell the plate. Plus their estate is the size of car I need. Ordered Nov.

Will post IF I get a reply, or look in A**o EX***ss, in the coming weeks!

Ordered a vRS TDi Estate 11 Oct 13 & was quoted 12-14 weeks. That is for delivery first week of Feb 14.

Got told that order had slipped to May with a build date of 21st April, which only last week (Monday) got brought forward to be built 1st week of March.

Was very happy with that news, but now after reading that there has been yet another change for everyone, I will have to find out if mine has slipped again!

I know of quite a few cancellations so call around some dealers & see if you can jump the que. My neighbour did just that as he wasn't bothered about options or body style, got one in grey in just 4 weeks.

I hate him now!!

Let me guess, he has the bare faced audacity to park it in view of your house too, whatta little Tommy Tucker he is, I hate him too and I don't even know him.

Unless it was the meteor grey one on here that was in an accident before delivery and was rejected ;) ;)

I'm back on BW18 according to dealer looking on system. SUK also say I'm entitled to £150 for over 20-week wait. Dealer has paid for MOT for current VRS but still want VW Finance to pay interest on old car.

Decided to also to stick with colour as don't want them to use as excuse to delay further.

I asked Skoda UK if they'd give me a loan car if my order went over 18 weeks - they said no. Now I see this £150 for orders over 20 weeks. I bet I know the answer I'll get back.

21 weeks and counting. Expecting 28 weeks total.

Looks like I need to order my 2nd VRS this month as my current one needs replacing in December I would like to think that 9 and a half months is time aplenty but you just don't know at this moment in time I could end up with a 15 plated car !!!!
