Greetings and sanitations!!

Mrs Stig got her 63 plate vRS Ferbi today and we keep getting a strange message once we turn the car off. It reads "Warning Dead Lock, check owners manual"

Having read the owners manual, we can't seem to get our heads round want it means...... HELLLLLLLLLLP!!

It's completely normal.

It is supposed to remind the driver that when you lock the car on exiting the car will be dead locked and cannot be opened from the inside, in case you leave someone in the car.

It will always say that when leaving the car.

^ +1 for Jonro's post

It always says it. Confused me abit at first too aha

Do a search for the full explanation as it has been covered many times before.

Basically it is warning you that when you lock the car the deadlocks will be active - so if someone is in the car they will not be able to get out in case of an emergency.

As above, it's normal. Get the same message on our Yeti.

Where've you been hiding, RichTea? There's a nice Rozzers topic you can join in :)

I was also confused by this at first as our old vRS hatch didn't do this. The owners manual it directs you to is totally useless on this issue. Google came to my aid lol.

Been having a bit of a cr4p time of it lately, but things are on the mend. Seen the Rozzers topic, "sigh!" Not some thing I'll be getting involved in. Also might be back in a Skoda soon..... Watch this space
