Retro fit CruiseControl problems..help..

Featured Replies

Hello.

A Norwegian fabia cruiser need serious help. 2005 mod

Have read from diffrent forums and stuff that a cruise controller could easily be retro fitted in the mk1 fabia. It was the only thing that I was missing in my fabia.

Have bought a retro fit cruise control kit ( stalker with cabels and everything)

Also read from different forums how to install it!

Everything went smooth. I connected every cabel. The one on the breakpedal, the stalker arm.. BUT the big problem was with the WHITE cabel

I was told that it was going to the terminal board T 11a pin 10. ( this one was the real challenge, not easy to get access all the way up behind the instrument panel. When I found it it was occupied with an "can bus" cabel. Then I read that if this one was occupied I could put it in T11b pin 6.

I thought that the job was done, and started to put it together. Connected it to the computer and activated the cruise control. Got feedback saying that it was activated...

But it doesn't work! Think the problem is that the white cabel is in the wrong place... Where shall I put it ?? Need help!!

Thanks for the link DB.

I have read it before. But it shall not be necessary to cut any cables as it says in this link. ( to cut into the car's wiring)

what have you guys done when you have retrofitted cruise controller in the Fabia ?? or is there nobody here on briskoda.net that has done this without cutting into the car´s wiring..?

there is only the location of the white cable missing

Thank´s

Blekkmannen

I usually run my own cable from the ecu end thru. the only option if you don't want to do that is to find that white wire on the bulkhead connector, maybe easier removing the wiper motor and finding it from the engine end first.
