OK these don't count

Featured Replies

It doesn't

It just applies the product to the car so you can wash with a sponge or mitt or pad

Did somebody mention 'sponge'

That's what CarPlan recommend...LOL

Their marketing is aimed at that type of car washer

Don't feel too bad mate. I rarely make it through two days without buting something car cleaning related. Spent £90 this morning alone.

I've reasoned that I only bought what I needed, ahem and two bottles of Gyeon Q2M Wetcoat to try and a new upholstery brush.

So spill, what did you get?

Wet coat, Tire and Bathe+ lol :hi:

Pics?

Pictures won't really tell the story, I took some this morning to try and capture the gloss on the car, which is amazing, but the application is far away the most impressive thing, I would have needed a cameraman taking videos.

Bathe+ is like Wash and Wax from some crazy future where Shampoos clean your car and also leave behind SiO2 coatings.  You wash on with a mitt, normal TBM style, then panel by panel, put a pea size amount on the mitt and wipe on.  Then when you pressure rinse off the car, the water activated Quartz coating bonds and seals onto the car leaving behind mindblowing water behaviour you would usually assosciate with something like CarPro Cquartz. Dare I say, could be better than Sonax BSD :o (runs and hides)

at this stage you could dry off and have two months protection from this alone.

I took some wetcoat, which is another water activated SiO2 product, like a QD you mist on the car, but then instead of towelling, you again pressure rinse the car, the pressure plus water activated SiO2 on the surface bonds another layer of Quartz like coating.

Best part is this has not only laid down some great protection on the car paint, all my window coatings have been refreshed and are working better than ever.

All for the effort of a two bucket wash, rinse, spray on some product and rinse.

Apparently Wetcoat alone can give three months.  I may have reduced this by not having a coating underneath or bare paint, some wax was still on the paint surface from last application and hadn't been killed off by a strong pre-wash.

Here's a dry snap taken with Camera on my phone - which doesn't show much really.  It is currently raining and I think a wet pic will demonstrate far better.

Still looks good tbh.

Doesn't sound like much effort for a good result and decent protection.

Nice one.

I really think you will have fun with it Chris.

Best of all PB deliver free, I have two bottles but may order a spare.

Do you dry it off again after rinsing mark?

Yes ...Just dry as normal

  • Author

Yep, open hose will sheet away most of it. Then dry or just go for a brisk drive :)

Cool cheers

Wetcoat in action, explains it far better than I could with photos.  Now for my money, too much is used in this application and ideally you want the impact of a pressure washer rinse not a hose end attachment.

Found another for wetcoat
