Has anyone got a working VCDS cable I could use to run a few tests on my car. I need to know if it's been remapped or not.

I already had a cable which didn't work, borrowed a mates and that was the same so I bought one from eBay that said specifically for VCDS lite. It arrived this morning and is exactly the same as the 2 I had.

It seems to see the cable and recognise it until I try and scan anything then it says no response from controller.

Sounds like it isn't registered, what software are you using? If you can make it to aberdeen you can borrow mine! Lol

I've tried it using the VCDS lite from the Ross tech website.

Plus my mate I got a cable from gave me a copy of the full version with a crack. I've tried both and getting the same message.

How about supporting Ross-Tech then and actually give your hard earned to the people that put all the devepment into their product rather than someone who just wants to rip off someone else's product?

Thanks for the reply Gizmo68. I don't intend to use it often so I'm not paying the full whack. And that was the cable I was advised to buy so that's what I've got.

Now got it working with the ripp off cable so you can come back down off your high horse.
