Blue or white?

Featured Replies

Vrs combi, tdi with dsg, black pack, pano roof and anthracite geminis order on 3rd of feb.

Still nothing on a bw yet, so it l hope

I can still alter the order. I originally opted for race blue, but the more white I see the more I want one. So what's best???

And what's best to live with? Eg I love black cars but I had a black golf gt and it showed every water mark, spec of dust and scratch. It was a pain to live with.

Thoughts???

What's best is what you prefer :)

I originally wanted blue, but the boss said she liked white, I naturally put my foot down and we got the white one...I have to say she was right, I love the white and after collecting it given the choice again I would go for the white.

White, white, white,........but them I am biased!

Love the blue although love the fact that white doesn't show scratches or stone chips as much!

I love the white.  Like you, I was torn but I think I made the right choice.  It's my first white car and I was a bit worried about keeping it clean as I do a fair few motorway miles with those lorries spraying tea coloured rain water everywhere.  I had no need to worry, a quick wash every week with autoglym car shampoo keeps it looking fab.  Go on, get the best colour and save yourself some money too.

One for the blue here lol. But then I don't like white cars as a rule. However it does look good in white but I still love it in blue. Blue blue blue all the way lol

I have an unpainted one.

Notice that there are 3x white colour to choose from now.

White from me too :) has so much presence moreso with the black pack

Blue will be just as bad as black IMO. I went for white, as we have two kids. The damage they cause will be less obvious with white (he hopes).

A vote for white from me as well!

I have had a few white cars now and despite initially thinking they would show every bit of dirt, they aren't as bad as what you might think, obviously if you drive through muddy puddles all day long they will, but general day to day driving they stay quite clean!  I have a white vRS estate, DSG and diesel, and I must say its an awesome car, also have black pack etc and it looks brilliant!

Another thing to think of with white, if you have the basic white then its a no cost option, which means you save a few quid, or you could spend that on some options to play with!!!

Regardless of what you do, enjoy the car when it arrives, I know I am certainly enjoying mine!!!

Depends where you live, impersonating English police it's white, French police it's Blue.

Out of Blue or white hmm . I would go for White. I had a debate between white and Meteor grey when choosing in the end I went for the grey!!

Oh yes, stick to 65 mph in the slow lane in your white OC3 VRS and see how many people slow down until they realise and then speed off again, great travel game! Just have to get me some blue flashing lights  now,....kidding of course!

Blue. There's of enough of us with white already and I want to hang on to some residual value!

I think the blue looks best on the hatch and the combi suits the white better.

I wanted white, the wife wanted blue, she won and i love it. I don't think you can go wrong with either colour, but there are a few advantages/disadvantages for white. A white car can be paint matched much easier in the event of scratches, dents, stone chips or a prang. However white will also let you know that it needs a bath much more often.

I currently have a white MK2, but looks like most of the local taxi's, although mine is a vRS with black wheels - apart from that, I think the white looks better.

My new Mk3 getting this week - is red.

Silver.

Yeah get white and be like everyone else please.

Leave the blue cars to me ;)

Race blue, pano roof, black grille looks smart..

well it does on my vRS hatch.. :giggle:

If I had white I be washing it every day,

Black... :bandit:

Well, FWIW... I wanted moon white, was told (probably erroneously) that it was not available for order, so settled for blue. I am concerned slightly that I will always wish I had gone for white. But I like blue! Really I do. I do I do I do...

Think the green is stunning on the estate,it seems to suit the mk3shell better than the mk2,got mine with sunset and black pack, but like everything its what right for you,the race blue still looks good, but to me its getting long in the tooth now, was fresh and new in 07 when i bought my first mk2

I wasn't sure between white black and race blue, swmbo wanted blue or yellow.

Ended up with blue without black pack as swmbo didn't like shiny roof rails. I quite like it.

Every car if have had has been black (swmbo's orders), pain in the rear to keep clean flipping pollen covered this time of year to boot, if I could have my way it would be a Laser white VRS combi with black pack, sunset glass and pano roof with a few other options tossed in aswell, I think this looks amazing and I am so jealous of white VRS owners. So to summarise go for white:-)

Yellow with the Black pack and panoramic roof + Canton.

Then you can drive around with the sound cranked up with that famous song... Black and Yellow, Black and Yellow...

Will be the first and may be only yellow car out there !!

Metal Grey, looks classy-with  grey or red seat trim .
