Replacement (Coloured) Seat belts .....

Featured Replies

Does anybody know the best place to hunt down a set of Octy 3 seatbelts at a reasonable price?

Im toying with the idea (Depending on cost) of replacing the seatbelts on the vRS with red ones (I can actually do about 20 different colours) but I'll need spare units whilst I work as I need to drive the car!

Also, anyone had the belts out of an Octy 3 yet?

I'd be very surprised if you can find some off the self ones that will be the same and to be honest I wouldn't want to be messing with something that I'd be relying on to save my life in a crash....

Aren't red seatbelts a little bit '80s?

Who said he wanted Red? It might be Candyfloss Pink or Lime Green Op is after.

I doubt whether there are currently any coloured belts made specifically for the Octavia III. There are not enough Octy III's around or demand for anyone to make them.

I already do this with MG cars.... Search for "MGBelts" on FB. Existing units rewebbed into new colours with fresh webbing all signed off to current safety and MOT legal standards (ADR4 etc), although I understand the concern.

There wont be - I would be getting them made. What I am looking for are the standard OEM units, either from a broken car or otherwise sourced. :)

I can do both those colours - I have Lime green in my MG

Back to the 80s?  Almost fits with the 70s look of the black pack and all the vinyl like wrapped roofs!

It's personal choice, is wonderful.

If my vrs ever gets built red belts might look nice.... I've gone for the red car and red stitching inside.   Don't think I'd bother swapping, but if a belt became damaged and needed replacement I might.

I had an mg maestro many years ago. loved red belts

Oh don't do it please. It's in line with the guy who stuck some plastic strips onto the headlights...very boy racer!

c'mon.... not that bad

Mostly people get a dark blue to match interiors, or a beige to match the interior leather of some of the cars.... I've even done a few jet black sets as the OEM ones are a dark grey.

Im just wondering how the red would look with the red stitching (or light grey belts with the grey stitching) in the vRS.... just need to find some OEM units to work on.
